Children's Mouth Guard
We recommend that children wear retainers or mouth guards in order to keep their teeth protected when playing sports. This year, use the following tips to care for your child’s appliance to prolong its life:
• Encourage your child to avoid chewing on their mouth guard or clenching their teeth around it.
• Wash out their mouth guard with some cold water after each use. Also scrub it out with a soft brush and antibacterial soap.
• Store the mouth guard or retainer in a dry container that provides for some air circulation.
• Keep your child’s mouth guard in a cool room rather than a steamy bathroom where the plastic could warp.
