What Do You Want From Your Pediatric Dental Office?

Posted on 9/15/2018 by Lindsey A. Robinson DDS Office
What Do You Want From Your Pediatric Dental Office?Pediatric dentists have a large order. We want the parents to feel confident in the work their child receives and we want the children to feel comfortable and at ease.

The foundation that your pediatric dentist establishes can set the course for your child's entire dental future, their willingness to see a dentist and their oral hygiene habits.

Pediatric dentistry is only partially the practice of dentistry, our pediatric dentist also focuses on helping children, and their parents, create a good dental hygiene plan, and educates them on ways to keep their teeth and gums in the best of health.

We hope to make regular office cleanings and checkups along with any corrective care to treat cavities or gum problems part of your child's regular routine, so they can't imagine life without it.

What should I look for from my child's dentist?

There are some very important things you should look for in a pediatric dentist, including:

•  Has your pediatric dentist set up a good comfortable atmosphere for your child? Children can create a fear from a buildup of nervousness, we want to alleviate that.
•  Creating a positive stigma around oral hygiene, we want your child to know, understand, and want to take care of their teeth.
•  You want a pediatric dentist who loves dentistry and loves children, look for a dentist who donates their time to the health of kids outside of their office. Additionally, look for a dentist who wants to continue their education, always staying abreast of the latest techniques and advancements. Being passionate in both dentistry and caring for children means that the health of your child is their priority.
•  A knowledgeable pediatric dentist, someone who can advise you on fluoride, sealants, cavities, teeth spacing, and more, will benefit your child.
